Bolte Bridge
Named after Charles Grimes, who captained the 1802 expedition up the Yarra Fleming.
Crosses where the Yarra Falls were originally blocking fresh and sea water. It is the spot where John Batman's only son tragically died while fishing.
This is the historic bridge that connects Swanston Street to St Kilmer the southern bank.
Crosses the Yarra River five kilometres east of Melbourne over Bridge Road and Burwood Road and is the oldest extant bridge over the Yarra completed in February 1858.
